Leaders in Heart Surgery
We were the first in the region to introduce the minimally
invasive lobectomy for lung cancer. This innovative procedure
uses several small incisions, instead of a major chest incision,
and does not require the ribs to be spread. This results in faster
recovery and less pain for patients.
We were also the first in the region to offer an aortic valve
bypass. Unlike traditional valve repair surgery, during an aortic
valve bypass, the heart does not need to be stopped and the
breastbone does not need to be split. This procedure is ideal for
older patients and those who have already had cardiac surgery.
